About Us

Let us introduce ourselves to you, we are Glenn and Gillian Ogden and we have been trading as Glenn Ogden Coins since 1996.  Glenn was always encouraged by his Grandfather to collect coins but Glenn chose to spend most of his pocket money on "Airfix Model Kits" but only wishes now that he had collected more coins.  When Gill's grandfather passed away he left to her a small container of coins, which sat on the shelf in a cupboard for years, until Glenn decided he would find out what was in there, apart from the Victorian Sovereign, there was nothing of any particular interest or value but it was all Glenn needed to get him collecting again.  Little by little his collection grew in both quantity and quality and of course over the years it also grew in value.  Some years later a dealer he use to buy from said, you must have quite a collection by now have you ever thought about dealing.  This got Glenn thinking and after long dicussions with Gill he started dealing first of all in a small way at local coin shows until it became a full time job and we started going all over the country to Coin shows and also to Antique and Collectable Fairs.  Through fairs and this website we will do our very best to accomodate all your coin requirements, with stock, accessories and passing on our knowledge but you may also be able to pass your knowledge onto us, we are all learning, especially in the coin world, there is hardly a day go by where something comes up that we haven't heard about before.  We promise you the best efficient, friendly and courteous service that we can give and we pride ourselves on always carrying out what we say we are going to do.

2025 will see us retiring. We have over the last 30 years, enjoyed dealing in all things Numismatic, meeting with other dealers and colleagues but especially dealing with our lovely customers, in which some have become really good friends, which we hope will continue into retirement by keeping in touch or even meeting up.  We thank you all, for your loyalty, support and friendship over the years.
